Balsporran B&B sits in a stunning part of the Cairngorm National Park. Surrounded by the Drumochter Mountains all of which are over 3000’, it is an adventure playground.
There are a wide range of activities and attractions in the surrounding area to keep the most energetic, and enthusiastic visitors busy for days.

Home cooked meals are available upon request from our extensive menu. We also provide a great variety of vegetarian meals. In addition, packed lunches / picnics are available for your day-trips.
Meals are prepared and served in our kitchen-dining room. We use our own organic grown vegetables, fruit (in season) and make our own preserves, we also bake our own bread.
Enjoy the peaceful, informal atmosphere, relax in front of a log fire . . . the fire is a fantastic alternative to the TV and DVD player that are there for your enjoyment in our luxurious, spacious guest lounge, alternatively sit on the riverside and absorb the mountainous landscape with its wild red deer. Why not take a packed lunch? Leave your car, climb the hills by the cottage, take a day to catch your breath and recharge your batteries during your visit to Scotland. Enjoy the incredible views and come back to a hot shower and a delicious meal from our exquisite menu.
Our aim is to ensure that you leave feeling rested and invigorated by the beauty of the area and the excellence of the food and hospitality. A good nights sleep is an essential part of any stay at Balsporran Cottages and our comfortably furnished bedrooms ensure just that!
There is ample private parking space and a secure bike shed for cyclists. We also have a drying room, ideal for those wet boots and coats. Well behaved pets are welcome at Balsporran. Additional services (e.g., washing / drying) can be provided to meet all your needs upon request.
Balsporran is located on the Perthshire / Inverness-shire border, four miles south of Dalwhinnie just 200 yards from the Sustran Cycle Route (no 7), perfectly placed for cyclists. We are approximately 2 hours north of Edinburgh.
